Here are some of the frequently asked questions.
If you don't find the answer here please ask a member of staff who will only be happy to help.
We ask that parents provide their child with nappies, wipes and any creams used regularly.
You can bring these things in daily or alternatively you can bring packs in which we will keep at nursery.
We also ask parents to provide us with formula milk. For young babies, parents must also supply them with solid foods also.
Once parents feel their child is ready then children can have nursery lunches which we will mash, blend or chop into appropriate textures for the children.
During summer months, we ask parents to provide us with a sunhat and sun lotion; these can be kept at nursery or put back in their bags to take home. During winter months, we ask parents to provide us with wellington boots, warm clothing and a waterproof coat so that the children can still explore and enjoy the outdoor environment.
We ask all parents to put some spare clothes in their child’s bag each day, as sometimes children may need to be changed during the day.
Fees are due on the 21st of each month in advance through a variety of methods.
There is no reduction in fees for any holidays taken, sickness or other absences.
You can pay by cash, cheque, childcare voucher, bank transfer or using a credit or debit card at the nursery.
If paying by voucher or cheque we ask that parents allow time for them to clear, so that payment is received by the 21st of each month.
Late payment charges can be applied to accounts if payment is not received on time.
When a child starts nursery an invoice will be raised until the 20th of the month to bring you in line with our normal invoicing on the 21st of the month.
If your child becomes ill at nursery then a member of management will assess the needs of the child and contact the parents/ carers.
Depending on the severity of the illness the nursery may ask the parents to come and collect the child as soon as possible.
In other instances, the nursery may contact the parents to let them know that they have a slight temperature, for example, and that they will be monitoring the child closely to assess whether further action is taken.
The nursery will always give parents a courtesy call to allow them time to plan getting to the nursery or arranging to leave work early.
Busy Little Bees reserves the right to refuse entry to any child who we believe is not well enough to attend the nursery.
The manager will assess the needs of children individually and will assess the impact on the other children and staff in the setting before making a decision.
